Full Description
Neolithic axehead found north west of Hambleton Farm by by a school pupil, and brought to the notice of GAG by one of its members. This was not a recent find, and had, in fact, been used as a door-stop by a local farmer. The site has now been quarried away by ironstone working. From GAG news sheet, Nov 1966. {1}
