Full Description

30169 Ditches containing RB pot cut by earthworks. {1} Street and enclosures seen on aerial photographs. {2} In 1975 large quantities of grey ware, samian, tile fragments, opus signinum, masonry, floor fragments and slate were recovered from the site by J Dable. {3}{4} An Iron Age brooch and scored ware pottery have also been recovered from the site by J Dable in 1992. {5} Enclosure and trackway cropmarks have been noted on aerial photographs, and interpreted as prehistoric settlement, and are located to the east of the A1. {6}
