Full Description
THE MONUMENTAL STONE MASONS YARD WAS BUILT IN 1889. IN THE 1930'S IT WAS OCCUPIED BY LINDUM STONE COMPANY. IN THE 1980'S IT WAS OCCUPIED BY TINKER AND LUCAS, JOINERY SPECIALISTS. IT IS A 5 YARD SQ BUILDING OF RED BRICK. IT HAS A LAYER OF CONCRETE FACING ON THE GROUND FLOOR LEVEL, ELABORATELY CARVED WITH STONE CARVINGS AND TERRACOTTA WORK. THERE IS AN ARCHED PEDIMENT ON THE NORTH FACADE, DATED WITH CITY CREST. CARVED PANELS AND LION'S HEAD GUTTERING. {1}
