Full Description

60918 In 1276 St Katherine's, Lincoln, had managed to establish a grange, called Huberdheythe, with four carucates from John (fourth baron) Deyncourt, and this house held also nine and a half bovates of Ralf of Morton. It was on Scopwick Heath, in the western part of the parish of Scopwick. The farm called Scopwick Lodge is probably close to the site of the grange. {1}{2}{3}{4} On 16 August 1333 Drew de Marneham, keeper of the grange of Huberdheythe, was arrested at the grange, for receiving John of Grymmesby, knowing that John was outlawed. {2}
