Full Description
Romano-British grey ware, some colour-coated ware, shelly ware and Samian was found at this location. The site has also been metal detected, and possibly Roman coins and buckles have also been recovered. {1}
An extensive scatter of Romano-British pottery was noted during fieldwalking. The scatter extended to the north beyond the walked area. {2}
A badly worn late 3rd century Roman coin was found at TF 0588 3821. The coin is a bronze radiate, probably a barbarous radiate. {3}
Surface material in this area suggests a Romano British site covering 'several acres'. {4}
