Full Description

A waterworks complex was formerly located in this area at the western end of High Street. The complex is believed to have been established in about 1900, as documented on historic mapping of this area, although the exact date of construction is not clear. The complex included an early 20th century water tower, but this was demolished and the site cleared for other development in about 1970. {1}{2}{3}
