Full Description

Earthwork remains of a strange moat-like feature to the north-east of Thurlby, identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. The feature appears to have earthwork remains of a possible building complex (grassed over rubble) within it. The south side of the moat may have been eroded away by the adjacen River Witham. Other earthworks possibly representing the remains of a pond and hollow way were also noted. {1}
