Full Description

TWO DITCH/PIT FEATURES WERE RECORDED DURING A WATCHING BRIEF AT NORTH KESTEVEN SCHOOL. THEIR DATE AND FUNCTION COULD NOT BE DETERMINED, ALTHOUGH ONE OF THEM MAY BE A RELATIVELY RECENT FIELD BOUNDARY. {1}{2}{3} During a watching brief during construction of an extension to the Sixth Form block (SK 9384 6633) possible archaeological remains were observed in a trench. There were no dateable artefacts recovered from these features, although their shape and character suggest a recent date. {4}
