Full Description

60525 One short cross penny and belt buckle. {1} Also coins of Edward I and Alexander III, one brooch and a possible horse harness fitment found on the site of a ploughed-out mound and possible cropmarks (60527). {1}{2} Medieval pottery was found during a walkover mostly towards the east side and centre of the field. Twenty-four sherds were recovered, including many sherds of green-glazed wares and three jug handles. There were also eight sherds of shell-gritted ware, possibly dating to the ninth century. {3}{4}
