2 PALAEOLITHIC HANDAXES. 1 IS AN ABBEVILLIAN HANDAXE, AND WAS FOUND IN 1952. THE OTHER WAS FOUND POSSIBLY IN 1946. THEY ARE NOW IN LINCOLN MUSEUM. {1}
The handaxes were found by Swinnerton (before 1937) and Baker. They are from Balderton sand and gravel. {3}
