GREEN GLAZED POTTERY WITH A REDDISH FABRIC, AND THE REMAINS OF A STONE BUILDING (OF LIMESTONE) TURNED UP HERE. PLOUGHED UP FROM GRASSLAND AT THE END OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR. INFORMANT (CW) SUGGESTS THIS MIGHT BE THE SITE OF SWINETHORPE NUNNERY, KNOWN TO BE BETWEEN NORTH SCARLE AND BROADHOLME. SMR card states grid reference to be SK 870 668. {1}{2}{3}
