Full Description

60381 A Cambridge air photo (no ref.) suggests the site of a Medieval grange west of Temple High Grange farm. {1} It is suggested that the aerial photograph shows a geological feature, but that the farm itself may be the site if a Medieval grange of the Temple Bruer preceptory. {2} Population figures for Temple High Grange were recorded in some of the census returns in the nineteenth century, although more often it was included with Temple Bruer. There were 21 inhabitants in 1841 and 1851. Temple High Grange and Temple Bruer together became a civil parish. {3}
