Full Description

PRN 60363 A scatter of 1st and 2nd century building debris and pottery, including Samian and two jars showing a strong Belgic influence found in 1961. Parts of a human skull found at this site in c.1961, now in the City and County Museum. A skeleton and pottery was found in the same area in the 1960's. Further pottery was found in 1965 - a light scatter of greyware and other coarse ware. The site was reported as having very shallow topsoil and much stone was evident in the plough.{1}{2}{3}
