The site of a possible Roman villa or farmstead was revealed during drainage trenching. Three sherds of Iron Age pottery were also seen in the trench upcast. {1}{2}{4}
The trenching area was indicated by the farmer, in 1965, confirming the location. Sherds of greyware were seen. {2}
