60321 ROMANO-BRITISH POTTERY FOUND IN A SMALL HOLLOW WHERE THE SOIL IS BLACKER THAN IN THE REST OF THE FIELD. POTTERY INCLUDES GREYWARE; A C4 HEMISPHERICAL FLANGED BOWL; COLOUR-COATED RIM AND BASE; A MORTRIUM BASE IN PINKISH FABRIC WITH MAINLY BLACK GRITS; A FEW ORANGE TILES, ALL CLOSELY SET. ALSO ONE SHELLY WARE SHERD WITH A GREY CORE AND LIGHT BROWN SURFACES - PERHAPS ROMANO-BRITISH, 1 SHELLY WARE SHERD WITH CLOSE-SET FINE SHELL IN A GREY CORE WITH BROWN SURFACES; AND 1 SHERD WITH A GREY CORE, YELLOW-BROWN SURFACES AND SPECKS OF GREEN GLAZE. {1}{2}
