Full Description
PRN 60265
A well defined almost square earthwork enclosure is visible to the south of Boughton House. This has been interpreted as a possible moat, which would have been associated with a manorial site. {1}{3}{4}
It is known that there was a medieval manorial house at Boughton, but it is said to have been situated where the current house stands (and therefore significantly north of the possible moat). {2}
