'ALMSHOUSES' ON 1956 6' O.S. MAP. {1}
The Bishop of Nottingham's Almshouses were endowed by Edward Trollope in 1885 for the use of aged or infirm members of the Church of England. The original building still stands and is still in use for its original purpose, although it has now been converted into flats. {2}
