60252 Almshouses of 1860 in Tudor style. A terrace of six divided by deep buttresses, well detailed brickwork, burnt brick headers in diamond patterns. {1} In 1860 Sir John Sutton built six almshouses for poor widows, which were let at 2/- per year, with no land endowment. Preference is given to the elderly with family connections in the village. {2} A terrace of six almshouses built in 1860 for Sir John Sutton in red brick with blue brick arranged in small and large diamond patterning. There is a fishscale tile and plain tile roof.
