THE CROSSING KEEPER'S COTTAGE AT STAINTON WAS BUILT C.1848 WITH THE LINCOLN BARNETBY LINE. PLAIN TWO STOREY YELLOW BRICK SLATE ROOF. SIMPLE RECTANGULAR PLAN WITH CENTRAL CHIMNEY. AXIS OF COTTAGE AT RIGHT ANGLES TO LINE. SMALL CROSSING BOV - ALL WOOD - FOR CONTROL OF THE CROSSING. {1}
