Full Description
THE STATION AT WICKENBY WAS OPENED WITH THE LINE IN 1848, AND WAS CLOSED IN 1965. THE PLATFORMS, SIDINGS, STATION HOUSE AND SIGNAL BOX REMAIN IN USE (1996). TWO PLATFORM STATION WITH STATION WITH STATION HOUSE ON THE SOUTH OF THE LINE. PLATFORMS HAD CAST IRON RAILINGS TO REAR, STANDARD OIL LAMPS, IRON-FRAMED WOODEN PLANKED SEATS. NO SHELTER ON NORTH PLATFORM, SMALL SINGLE STOREY WAITING ROOM. THE STATION HOUSE IS SIMILAR TO THAT AT SNELLAND. {1}
