Full Description
A LARGE FLINT PROJECTILE POINT THREE AND A QUARTER INCHES LONG AND NEARLY TWO INCHES WIDE WAS PICKED UP ON THE SURFACE AND REPORTED IN 1968. IDENTIFIED BY THE BRITISH MUSEUM, WHO CONSIDERED IT TO BE LATE NEOLITHIC OR EARLY BRONZE AGE. {1}{5}
A STONE AXE (PROBABLY OF GREAT LANGDALE STONE, BUT NOT THIN-SECTIONED) AND TWO EARLY BRONZE AGE FLINT SCRAPERS WERE FOUND IN THIS AREA AND REPORTED IN 1972. {2}{4}
A MESOLITHIC OR NEOLITHIC FLINT FLAKE WAS FOUND IN A FIELD NEAR LEA GRANGE (AT SK84398633) AND REPORTED IN 1974. {3}{6}
