AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL EVALUATION IN THE REAR GARDEN OF THE FORMER BRITISH LEGION CLUB, BANK LANE IDENTIFIED GARDEN SOIL DEPOSITS FOR THE PERIOD UP TO THE NINETEENTH CENTURY. THERE WAS ALSO EVIDENCE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND ULTIMATE DEMOLITION AND ROBBING OF A POST MEDIEVAL COTTAGE DURING THIS PERIOD. POTTERY WAS FOUND MIXED IN WITH THE GARDEN SOIL OF VARIOUS DATES. {1}{2}
