Full Description

Cropmarks of a prehistoric or Roman enclosure or settlement, at Grange Wold Farm, Riby. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. A number of internal subdivisions divide the enclosure into at least four smaller enclosures. The enclosures are probably the remains of a settlement. The enclosure is close to the site of a Roman coin hoard and trial trenching that found Romano-British pottery and ditches, but there is no definite link. {1}
