Full Description
THERE IS A CROSSING KEEPER'S COTTAGE BUILT, AT THE CROSSING ON THE ROAD BETWEEN HOLTON LE MOOR AND MOORTOWN STATIONS, OF RED BRICK WITH A SLATE ROOF WITH A CENTRAL CHIMNEY. IT IS A TWO STOREY BUILDING WITH A BOW WINDOW ON THE GROUND FLOOR WHICH FRONTS THE TRACK. IT HAS WOODEN DECORATED BARGE BOARDS. IT WAS BUILT C.1848 ON THE MSLR RAILWAY. {1}
