Full Description

The windmill was probably built in the early 19th century and had ceased to work by 1908. Some vestiges of the floors and gear, in the form of a pair of stones remained. There is also a water tank in the building, which has been used as a water tower for many years. It was converted to an owl house in 1993, and most of the openings were blocked up. The mill is 39ft high, and had four floors, but all that remains of them are the heavy oak beams. {1}{2}{3} For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {4}
