Full Description
FRAGMENTS OF ROMAN PAVEMENTS WERE FOUND HERE, ACCORDING TO WHITE'S LINCS DIRECTORY. DURING THE EXCAVATIONS OF 1964 ROOFING TILE, AMPHORA AND GREYWARE WERE FOUND. WHILE THE QUARRY WAS STILL IN USE THERE WERE MANY REPORTS OF FINDS OF ROMAN COINS. {1}{2}{3}{4}
