Full Description
THE CROSSING KEEPERS COTTAGE (WHICH HAS NOW BEEN DEMOLISHED) ON A LEVEL CROSSING (WHICH IS NOW AUTOMATIC), WAS A TWO-STOREY COTTAGE WITH A CENTRAL CHIMNEY STACK WITH THREE FLUES. IT HAD A TWO STOREY SMALL BAY TO ONE SIDE. IT WAS RED BRICK WITH A SLATE ROOF AND WHITE BARGE BOARDS. THE BAY WINDOW ON THE GROUND FLOOR OVERLOOKED THE LINE. {1}
