Full Description
A Neolithic polished flint chisel measuring 6" long was reported as being found at Owmby. It was donated to Scunthorpe Museum, who recorded the find as being from Owmby Cliff, and being found by an A.J. Millson. Owmby Cliff would be in Owmby by Spital parish, although no Millson family is known from that area, whereas Millsons are known to have resided in Searby cum Owmby parish. The exact location of the findspot is therefore uncertain. {1}{2}
