Full Description

An Iron Age bronze coin was ploughed up in 1879, on land near Moor Farm, North Kelsey. It was thought that the coin might have been of Brigantian design, and was described as being inscribed with 'a rude attempt at a head crowned with laurel on the obverse, and on the reverse with a device that might have been meant for a horse. The legend reads 'VEP CORF'.' {1}{2}
