Full Description
SITE OF A ROMANO-BRITISH KILN DISCOVERED IN PLOUGHING IN 1969. IT VIRTUALLY COMPLETE FIRE-BARS, 12 INS LONG WERE FOUND TOGETHER WITH OTHER KILN DEBRIS, AND ROMAN GREY WARE POTTERY WAS RECOVERED FROM THE IMMEDIATE AREA. FURTHER POTTERY, INCLUDING MORTARIUM SHERDS WAS FOUND SCATTERED OVER THE FIELD.{1}{2}
