Full Description
THIS TOWER MILL WAS BUILT BY MR ELLIS IN 1872 FOR 1000 POUNDS, AND ONLY WORKED FOR A SHORT WHILE, BEING DISUSED BY 1923. IT LINGERED AS A DERELICT FOR A SHORT WHILE BUT WAS EVENTUALLY GUTTED AND WAS CONVERTED INTO A HOUSE IN THE 1960'S. THERE WERE FOUR PATENT SAILS WERE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH A FLAT ROOF. THE TOWER WAS COVERED IN TAR IN 1965 AND IS NOW PAINTED. {1}{2}
