Full Description
THE RAILWAY WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1848 BY THE MANCHESTER, SHEFFIELD AND LINCOLNSHIRE RAILWAY, AND THE KEEPERS COTTAGE DATE FROM 1848. IT IS YELLOW BRICK AND T-SHAPED, WITH A SLATE ROOF OF STEEP PITCH AND CENTRAL CHIMNEY STACK. THERE IS A NARROW GATED CROSSING, WITH CONCRETE POSTS, DATING FROM ABOUT C.1900. {1}
