Full Description
THE RAILWAY STATION AT LANGWORTH IS OF YELLOW BRICK WITH SLATE ROOFS, A TWO- STOREY HOUSE, TICKET OFFICE, TOILETS ETC. IT WAS EXTENDED IN A SIMILAR WAY TO OTHER STATIONS IN THIS SECTION. THERE WAS ALSO A DISUSED WEIGH OFFICE IN 1965. IT WAS BUILT BY THE MANCHESTER, SHEFFIELD AND LINCOLNSHIRE RAILWAY AS PART OF LINE FROM BARNETBY TO LINCOLN, AND IT WAS OPENED IN 1848. THE STATION WAS CLOSED AFTER 1965, AND THE LINE WAS STILL IN USE IN 1995. THERE ARE PHOTOGRAPHS WITH THE CBA CARD. {1}
