Full Description

PRN 53228 A MEDIEVAL MOATED SITE, THE UPPER DEPOSITS OF WHICH DATED TO C14 AND LATER. THE TELL-TALE DEPRESSION IN THE GARDEN EAST OF THE HOUSE WS CONFIRMED AS THE LINE OF A MOAT WITH THE EXCAVATION OF TRENCH 8. POTTERY FROM THE C13 AND C15 WERE IDENTIFIED. A METALLED SURFACE WHICH MAY BE CONTEMPORARY WAS ALSO LOCATED. A METALLED TRACKWAY AND ASSOCIATED DRAINAGE DITCH NOT BEING EARLIER THAN C15. {1}{2}
