THE OLD CHURCH WHERE ST JOHN THE BAPTIST NOW STANDS FELL BEFORE 1794, AND A NEW ONE WAS ERECTED. SOME OF THE MEDIEVAL STONEWORK HAS BEEN REUSED (EG FOURTEENTH CENTURY FOLIAGE CAPITALS, AND DECORATED SEDILIA AND PISCINA). {1}
