Full Description

The ruin of a water mill consisting of brick wall along the north side of Swinhope Hall lake. There is a brick wheel pit with a recess for the main drive cogged wheel alongside. Part of the south wall of the mill stands nearby as part of a wall of a later farm building. The wall is dressed in chalk blocks with brick quoins. The brick looks contemporary with Swinhope Hall. The adjacent brick culvert leading from the wheelpit on the line of the stream. It is late 18th century in date. {1}
