Full Description

Probable late 19th century water tower, to the north-west of Brocklesby. The tower is four storeys, built of red brick laid in Flemish bond, and measures approximately 25ft by 20ft. It is approximately 67ft tall, with an 8ft tank, making a total of 75ft. The building has arrow slits at each floor. Externally, each floor has a yellow brick diamond on each side. The door at the base on the south side has a stone panel over it comprising a 'coat of arms' of six swans and four water towers. In the brickwork over the door are, at first floor level, two iron brackets with pulley. {1}{2} The building is no longer extant, and appears to have been demolished in about 1990, according to historic Ordnance Survey mapping evidence. {3}
