Full Description
The settlement of East Langworth lies at the east of the crossing of the River Langworth or Barlings Eau by the main road from Lincoln to Wragby and Horncastle (see PRN 53043). More buildings were documented on the south side of the road in 1735. The field name Spital Bridge Close presumably relates to the documented leper hospital and human skeletons reportedly found at a short distance to the east mark its cemetery. {1}
