Full Description
DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BRITISH GAS PIPELINE A SURFACE SCATTER OF BRONZE AGE POTTERY WAS IDENTIFIED. THERE WERE 12 SHERDS, NONE WERE ABRADED AND SO HAVE PROBABLY NOT TRAVELLED FAR. THEY MAY HAVE BEEN SEALED FAIRLY RAPIDLY IN HILLWASH. TWO SHERDS WERE FROM A FLAT-BASED POT AND THE REST WERE DECORATED, CORDONED URN FRAGMENTS. {1}
