Full Description

A MEDIEVAL SWORD WAS FOUND IN THE WITHAM NEAR FISKERTON IN 1788. IT HAS A FULLER RUNNING DOWN THE GREATER PART OF THE BLADE, STRAIGHT QUILLIONS OF CIRCULAR SECTION AND A WHEEL POMMEL. ITS MOST UNUSUAL CHARACTERISTIC IS THE MYSTERIOUS AND PROBABLY MAGICAL INSCRIPTION READING 'SNEXORENEXORENEXORENEXOREIS' WITH A CROSS AT EACH END. IN LINCOLN MUSEUM. {1}
