AE ANTONINIANUS, CONTEMPORARY FORGERY OF CARAUSIUS (287-93 AD). VERY IRREGULAR SHAPE AND CRUDE PORTRAIT. OBV:CARAVSIUS PVG. REV: PAX AVG. PROBABLY STRUCK ON THE OBVERSE SIDE OF AN EARLIER COIN. FOUND IN THE SPOIL HEAP AT RUSTON BUCYRUS OF MATERIAL THAT PROBABLY CAME FROM THIS LOCATION. {1}
