IN DEEPENING MILL-DAM, MARKET RASEN, JUST NORTH OF THE CHURCH, ON 16/8/1848, WERE FOUND; IRON JAVELIN, 2 SINGLE-EDGED DAGGERS, PART OF A BRIDLE BIT, MEDIEVAL JETTONS, CHARLES II FARTHING. ALSO HUNDREDS OF BRASS PINS, SOME WITH ORNAMENTAL HEADS (PRESUMABLY POST MEDIEVAL) (JARVIS MSS 105-13) ALSO SHILLING OF ELIZABETH I MM MARTLET FROM THE RIVER AT MARKET RASEN (JARVIS MSS 115). {1}
