MEDIEVAL RECTANGULAR CROPMARK, KNOWN AS BUSDYKE, WHICH IS 480-450 FEET EAST- WEST AND 560-510 FEET NORTH-SOUTH, WITH A POSSIBLE ENTRANCE ON THE EAST. BARLEY CONSIDERS IT TO BE A HUNTING LODGE OF THE BISHOPS OF LINCOLN. HE STATES THAT IT WAS IN EXISTENCE BY 1237, ALTHOUGH THIS MENTION MAY REFER TO THE PARK PALE AT STOW. IT IS THOUGHT THAT IT MAY BE A WOODLAND BANK. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}{7}
