Full Description

Soilmarks of possible circular features have been reported in this area to the south-east of Highwood Farm, Torksey. The features were noted by a Mr H.W. Saxby, prior to 1953, and may be the remains of former enclosures or ring ditches. Mr Saxby also reported fragments of daub found in the same area, though no pottery, and the features remain of unknown date. Field walking conducted on this site in 1964 found no evidence of the features, and no trace of them could be seen on the availabel aerial photography. {1}{2}
