Full Description
A late Bronze Age hollow cast spearhead fragment was found at Sturton on Stow in about 1970. It is now in Lincoln Museum. The exact findspot is unknown. {1}{2}{3}
A blade of a late Bronze Age socketed spearhead is reported as found in the same year and by the same finder. It is unclear whether this is an additional find, or rather just more detail about the first item. Davis gives a grid reference of SK 899 795 for this find but it is unclear where this came from since he quotes this HER record as the only source of his information on this find. The details in Davis's gazetteer for this artefact are largely identical to that for the previous artefact, suggesting they might indeed be the same object. {4}{5}
