DURING EXCAVATIONS ALONG THE WELTON TO LINCOLN TRUNKMAIN PIPELINE ROUTE, MEDIEVAL POTTERY WAS DISCOVERED INCLUDING SHELL TEMPERED AND GREEN GLAZED POTTERY WAS DISCOVERED IN TOPSOIL AND UNDERLYING STRATA (SOME OCCURED IN HILLWASH DEPOSITS AND WAS POSSIBLY CONNECTED WITH FIELD MANURING). {1}
