Full Description

52367 DURING THE WELTON TO LINCOLN PIPELINE EXCAVATIONS (SITE F) AREA 2 REVEALED LARGE NUMBERS OF POST HOLES, PITS (1 CONTAINING ANIMAL BONE) AND OTHER FEATURES. THERE WAS ALSO AN ARC OF CLOSELY SPACED POST HOLES WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH A SINGLE TIMBER STRUCTURE. THERE WERE NO OTHER FINDS IN THESE FEATURES, ALTHOUGH SOME FLINTS WERE FOUND, BUT ONLY IN RESIDUAL CONTEXTS. {1}
