Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

A potential cropmark site was identified on the west side of Prebend Lane, Welton. It appeared to be a sub-rectangular enclosure. The fields to the west of Prebend Lane were field walked, but nothing was found. Trenches were also dug along the verge of Prebend Lane to try and locate the cropmark, but no features were found. It was thought possible that the cropmarks may simply reflect an impression left by agricultural machinery. {1}
