POSSIBLE UNKNOWN CROPMARK ENCLOSURE AND STOCK ENCLOSURE AND OTHER POSSIBLE CROPMARKS. {1}{2}{3} THESE DITCHED ENCLOSURES, POSSIBLY ANIMAL STOCKADES, MAY BE SIMILAR TO IRON AGE FEATURES EXAMINED IN HACKTHORN AND COLD HANWORTH IN ADVANCE OF THE WELTON-GLENTHAM TRUNKMAIN. A LINEAR DITCH ORIENTATED NE-SW WAS VISIBLE CROSSING HACKTHORN LANE. NO ARCHAEOLOGICAL FEATURES OR FINDS WERE REVEALED. THE LINER FEATURE MAY BE A GEOLOGICAL FAULT IN THE LIMESTONE BEDROCK. {4}
