Full Description

A post medieval settlement, dating from at least the 17th century, at the bridge (see PRN 52170) where Till Bridge Road crosses the River Till. {1} There are 17th century wills and inventories that mention Till Bridge as a place in Scampton parish. {2} There was a inn at Till Bridge from at least the late 18th century. In 1856 it was called the 'Cross Keys' and was run by John Sykes. {3}{4}
